The RSA Student Design Awards is an annual competition for students run by the RSA – The Royal Society for Encouragement of Arts, Manufacture and Commerce, founded back in 1754.
This competition challenges emerging designers to think differently about design and coming up with solutions for real-world problems. But why design and not something else? Design has the unique ability to influence interactions, identities or information. This project has been really successful; in fact, this is the longest continuous running student design program
The RSA Student Design Awards competitions has proved really important in the careers of some designers, such as Jonathan Ive, the Senior Vice President of Design at Apple.
